THE CHILD IS TRULY A MIRACULOUS BEING and this should be felt deeply by the educator. ~Maria Montessori

2017-2018, and looking ahead
Chickadee is fully enrolled for the 2017-2018 school year. I do keep a small waitlist “pool” of highly motivated families, in case an unexpected opening occurs. In general, though, waiting lists are unsatisfactory for parents, because you need some clarity and you need to make plans. .
Now it’s time to plan ahead for fall 2018. Please contact me via email, and we can then arrange a private tour, during our open hours, morning or later afternoon. November, December, and January are good months to visit. Tuition for next year will not be confirmed until February, but it will be close to our current rates. I will accept applications, and then confirm the first enrollments by February 1. Since children stay for 3-4 years, the full Montessori cycle, we have only a few openings each year. With five kindergartners this year, we anticipate 5-6 open slots for fall 2018.
Chickadee follows the Beaverton School District calendar for the big date points – opening date in September, legal holidays, Winter and Spring Breaks. But we are a year-round program, and set some dates on our own, including Early and Late Summer Breaks, and we are not closed nearly as often as public schools.
