THE CHILD IS TRULY A MIRACULOUS BEING and this should be felt deeply by the educator. ~Maria Montessori

Fall 2017 Enrollment
Chickadee has been fully enrolled for the 2016-2017 school year, and we are now fully enrolled for fall 2017. I do keep a small waitlist “pool” of highly motivated families, in case another unexpected opening occurs. In general, though, waiting lists are unsatisfactory for parents, because you need some clarity and you need to make plans.
Inquiring parents are welcome to contact me via email, and I will always answer your questions, but you need to understand our current status. Chickadee is a wonderful but small program. Since most children stay for 3-4 years, the full Montessori cycle, only a few openings and new enrollments happen each year.
Thank you for your understanding. I know how hard it is from your perspective, and it is truly difficult to turn away so many good families and children.
Chickadee follows the Beaverton School District calendar for the big date points – opening date in September, legal holidays, Winter and Spring Breaks. But we are a year-round program, and set some dates on our own, including Early and Late Summer Breaks, and we are not closed nearly as often as public schools.
